We've been providing essential support since 1989
Since we began over 20 years ago, our organisation has evolved a lot. But there's one thing that hasn't changed. Our dedication to providing quality services to people across the region. Read on to find out just how far we've come… and where we're planning to go next.
Established as a not-for-profit organisation to offer a range of alternative residential services in Redbridge for people moving out of Claybury and Goodmayes Psychiatric Hospitals. Over the next few years, we also started to manage care homes and supported living services.
The beginning of a partnership between RCHL and MOAT Housing Group to develop eight residential services for adults with a learning disability, over a two year period.
Our first community day service was opened in Redbridge.
By now, we'd grown so much that we needed a larger central office. We then moved to Caxton Place in Ilford where we remain to this day.
Our Outreach service had become established and we started providing a Brokerage service too.
We began a major new contract to provide day services at the William Brinson Centre in Tower Hamlets, which has now become our Blue Skies Project.
Our Outreach team extended into Waltham Forest and Newham.
We opened our Waltham Forest community day service, extended our services in Newham, and took over the management of Green Lodge – a short-break nursing home for adults with a learning disability in Redbridge.
