Service User Committee

RCHL's commitment to involving people who use our services has been further demonstrated by the setting up of a Service User Committee, which will support and advise our Board and Committees.

Thirteen people using our services have put their names forward and will be attending training for their new role on 20th May and 10th June. The training is being independently provided by a national organisation, Partners in Policy Making, who will be making sure that everyone is well prepared for their new and important role. The Service User Committee will meet for the first time on 14th June 2011.

Whilst we have had Service User Members sitting on our Quality Assurance Committee for over 10 years the new Service User Committee will bring User involvement, for the first time, to our Board and Audit and Finance Committee.
