Short Breaks

As experts in our field, we understand how important it is for social carers to have regular short breaks. At RCHL we offer a wide range of short break opportunities – both residential-based (registered care and nursing) and support that can come into the home or be provided in the community.

Residential stays

In terms of residential stays, carers are able to choose from two options. Green Lodge in Woodford offers a registered nursing service for individuals with high support needs. Whilst Argyle Road in Ilford provides a registered service for people with lower support needs.

Support from home

We also offer short break support through our Outreach team. They can come into the home to support an individual whilst their carers have a break. Alternatively, our team can support the individual to take part in community activities, leaving the carers to enjoy a short break at home.
