We now have job opportunities for Cafe Assistants and Relief workers who will be assisting in the preparation and service of meals, food and drinks for cafe customers.

We are looking for people who are prepared to travel to our other café site when required. (Second site based in Woodford Green, Essex)

You will be part of a team working in a busy and friendly environment, providing an efficient service to the public.

Cafe Assistants are required to work flexible hours across a 7 day week.

As a Relief Cafe assistant, you will be supporting our permanent staff during periods of absence. There are no fixed hours of work and people appointed could be offered work at short notice, including weekends and bank holidays across both sites.

Our Mason Way Project, a registered care home in Waltham Abbey, is a friendly and comfortable residence for 8 adults with learning disabilities. It provides individual care of the highest standards and enables its residents to become as independent as possible, and participate within the community. We now require the following people.

We’re looking for a support worker who wants to make a real difference by joining a team that takes a refreshing approach to care. The work is varied and stimulating; maintaining high standards of service, designing personal support plans, providing emotional support and helping residents to live active lives at home and in the community. We firmly believe in providing all our people with the same standard of support as our clients.

Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities would be desirable but not essential. Of course, in addition to a practical approach to problem solving and excellent organisational skills, you’ll be particularly sensitive to the needs of this particular client group.

Corporation Road is a purpose-built registered care home for 8 people who have physical and learning disabilities. It provides excellent care and services with a respect for the individual’s dignity, privacy, freedom of choice and independence within a community setting.

For this post you will require a positive support approach, together with proven team working skills. You should have experience of working with people with learning disabilities and a relevant care qualification (Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3) would be desirable.

You will be supporting Service users with their personal care, finances and daily routines e.g. cooking, cleaning, record keeping etc. You will be supporting Service Users to make informed choices about their life, accessing the community, and promoting independence. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar residential environment, where you will have gained knowledge of individual care issues, related legal requirements, effective key working, liaising with professionals, record keeping etc. You will be administering medication and overseeing others to promote best practice.

You will be operationally responsible for managing the care and support provided to the service users at the registered care home in the absence of the registered manager. To support the registered manager in all aspects of staff management, and ensure that the regulatory requirements are adhered to in this registered home.

As well as being willing to work a shift system which includes sleep ins and being part of an on call senior rota. You should have good communication skills, be able to use initiative, possess patience and good judgement skills. You should also be able to work well as part of a team and have an understanding of the issues facing people with learning disabilities.

RCHL are looking for competent, caring and committed people to deliver a home support service across the district of Braintree to people who may have a mild learning disability, mental health issues, ASD and/or a physical or sensory impairment. 

Travelling to peoples homes across the Braintree district you will be providing assistance to enable people to remain in their own home and maintain, or increase their independence.

This will involve personal care, cleaning and house care, practical and social support, involving the person in all the decisions which affect the delivery of their support, addressing their specific communication needs and being responsive to their wishes and respectful to their chosen of way of life.

You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working with vulnerable adults, effective lone working, liaising with professionals, record keeping etc and have a good knowledge of the care sector and related legal requirements.

Services in the day are delivered between 6.00 am and 11.00 pm and you will be required to work a rota that operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. There are no fixed hours of work and people appointed could be offered work at short notice, including weekends, nights and bank holidays.

As well as being willing to work flexibly you should have good communication skills, be able to use initiative, possess patience and a sense of humour.
